I'm a poor boy from a coutryside near 3city :( soo my budget is quite tight and I'm fabricating most of custom parts on my own or buying if there is a good offer, but I can show you some of my earlier builds.

Holy hell! You're really uncompromising man! As it's finished with a cool paintwork (flat black...), it'll look great I guess. But maybe it would look even better if you had followed the side line of the tank with that part you welded on.

CZOKO 27.01.2009 15:24:57

Re: GS from POLAND

Good tip  thanks mate. I'll try it. But I'm afraid it's gonna be too largre (It's a bit too large for my now aswell) I think these sharp edges look quite nice at this old tank)

PS ROCKWELL I think it was you (but I may be wrong) who said "flat black for life" +1 on that in 100% !!!

your idea is great !

i've never seen such a great gs !

in poland theres nothing like a TÜV or something, right?^^

take a look under the polski-trucks and you know all over the polski mechatronics

sorry! i like the ideas from this projekt, but not for the official streets and ways in germany...
why? i love the life of my son, my wife and all of my friends too!
im not the best friend from DEKRA and so on, but technic must be technic, not toys!

To be honest we have something similar to TÜV (but not soo f...ing stiff)

PS anyway my bike is gonna be:
1. safe for me
2. safe for others on the road
3. light and clean
4. ....
.
.
.
9999999999999999. TÜV friendly :benni2:

Your're right mate but not 100 %. My GS is less dangerous than stock Hayabusa or even a some stock 50cc bike (it depends who is ridinn on it) My technic is as good as some workers that has build these cheap bike years ago (or even better because I'm more precise) My geometry and any part of my bike is gonna be fully road friendly  Soo I can agree with you but not at 100%

this project is turning out to be among the few radicals that I've seen. I am really looking forward to seeing it finished!!!!
As far as TUV and road friendly - anyone who's been to a custom bike show will see that things are moving on from the "Norm" because people like you and I do exactly this sort of thing to our bikes. I think it's great..and as long as technical knowledge and mechanical know-how are applied in a safe manner, why shouldn't they push the boundries a bit...I think your bike should be an inspiration to all who want to try it.

If it´s a part from a usual mattress, it could be much too soft and accordingly uncomfortable.

Hi, A Tip for you Incase you didn't already know.......a flex is perfect for fine tuning your foam...i used ione when i made my seat.....use a sanding disc though, not a cutting disc!!! what foam have you used? i used an old truck seat headrest, it's the same rubber foam as the original seat!!! you foam looks similar

as for comfort, your bike isn't really biult for long distance riding is it?

And about the foam I'm gonna do it just as you've said. btw I think that it is the only good way to do it right :yumyum: today it was just a fast try with knife. :benni2:

Re: GS from POLAND

that'S looking great.... but how many chains did you use...maybe it's because the chain is usually covered, but that photo looks like you have the longest chain ever!!!

will you leave the risers in the "block" form or will you round the edges a little?

I like this bike.....lots!!!

You should try some insulation-wool. Not just for silencing, but for better sound.
Sounds a bit like a tin can, regrettably.
Maybe the resonating cavity is too small for more bass.
