Sounds bad. All I heard from Bandit swing arm modifications always involved the whole swing arm / wheel / brake caliper / brake disk / torque link assembly.

The swing arm axle is a relatively easy point to adapt (just distance bushes necessary) The interfaces you are considering are way more complex.
