Esslingen am Neckar?
When will you begin your study?
Esslingen is 15-20 minutes away from me (by car or bike)...

I am doing some prototypes for attachment of the Buell end. I'm considering both design and a solid construction. The attachment is suposed to be machined in a mill (fräsen). Please leave a comment.

The attachment is then to be welded on to the frame.

Great, but it doesn´t fits so.

The Buell Frame is Smaller than your GS Frame. Excactly 2,8cm on each side.

That's correct, the upper attachment have to be rotated with an certain angle for the Buell frame to slide in (the upper and lower attachment can't be paralell as shown in the picture).

I noticed that the Buell frame is 153mm wide ant that means (as you said Jim) that the attachment has to be directed inwards, but that was tricky to do with the CAD-program . I will do a more realistic modell this holiday.

This is an updated version of the attachment. I need more dimensions to make it more realistic (my bike is 200km away from where I study), so that will wait.

I dont know if I'll have them built, the details looks very complicated with all the angles and so on. The way I'm considering now is to cut of half the GS-frame and use it to fit the Buell end. But I'm in no rush so I'll have it my mind for some more time.

Buell tails are great, I would fix it in the angle shown on the pictures. I think it looks best when the upper edge of the tail is in a straight line with the lower edge of the fuel tank.
Do you think about another paint shop for the bike and the rims?

Very nice weather to be outside!

First I cut of the original frame.
http://www.sporthoj.com/gallery/uplo...s_2006_057.jpg

Then I adjust the heigt of the Buell ass.
http://www.sporthoj.com/gallery/uplo...s_2006_043.jpg

This week I'll weld the attachment of the Buell ass and then fix the different "heights" of the original frame and the thicker Buell ass.

I´ll have to register the bike as "rebuilt bike". The licenseplate will be placed within the Buell-frame, I'll do the undertray and saddle in "plexiglas".. What´s that word in english? (Transperent plastic.)

And what do you gotta do to make that bike Street - conformous ?
Because I'm Pretty Sure that in germany there was only little Chance to get that Exhaust Allowed like that.
Hope you're already training Hang-offs, else that will be a hard start

I don't know how to make a good looking sadle unfortunally, any suggestions? The exhaust won't be any problem in Sweden, there is only a rule that the exhaust should be directed downwards, no rule about the placement that I know.

I did'nt understand the last thing about "Hang-offs"??

Hang offs are a Technique to put your Focal Point (??) nearer to the inner Side of the curve, allowing you to stay ore up in the Curve.
I Mean : Seriously I would be scared as Fuck with that Exhaust being that near to the ground. If It touches the Ground It'll spit Spark like some Fucking Firecracker And Possibly even ruin your zylinder-head.
If You're very unlucky your rear tire will leave the ground and You'll experience what we call a 'Lowsider'.

do you really want to leave the back light as it is? i mean as i said i love the back but i think some more modern LED's in the back would fit better to the turning signals and to the rest of the bike don't you think? i'd love to see the bike in reallife...
